there was a strange high pitched noise, and as it built, it became evident it was the glasses in the cabinet rattling at high frequency!
it got louder, and I wondered if the night bus had stopped outside - which sometimes causes this
IT GOT LOUDER - and I knew it wasn't the night bus!

Brude looked at me, asking if I wanted him to bark (coz he's good like that Smile )

the whole house vibrated!

IT GOT STRONGER! AND LOUDER!

the crystals on the light fittings were swinging markedly

I looked outside to see if anything big and heavy really had driven past (there's a building site not far from here)
I logged on to SF to see if anybody else in the area had felt the same thing, and the whole front page was taken up with reports of the same thing all over Sheffield!

Brude rushed to the window to look for something to bark at, but went back to bed when he figured out that whatever it was, it had passed Diggle

Nancy snored through the lot, but pussy cat got quite upset and hid under cushion on settee! Went out to check bunnies, seemed ok, and all horses calm and eating this morning, so didnt seem to have upset them.
My mate said it was a long time ince the earth moved in her house!

The first thing I thought was that the cats were messing about in my bedroom Hehe but I soon realised that it was a bit more than that.
The dogs all ran to the front window barking like mad, I think we were all confused as to what it was, it was really scarey.
I looked out of the window but really strange... mine was the only light on so I don't know if the rest of the rd just slept through it Rolling Eyes
The most strange thing was when I went out the back, Kira and Oliver ran outside and they both began to run around the garden, lap after lap silently and side by side that was really freaky and I have no idea what it was about at all.
I will be happy if its a really long time till the next it was awful!

Me and OH didn't wake up and i don't believe Tilly did either and she was in the bedroom with us. Albert had chosen to sleep downstairs. He was outside the bathroom at 5am when i got up to get ready for work which is unheard off and he also had a wet bed so imagine it terrified him as our Albert would rather die than mess in the house Sad my poor lad but he seemed fine after he had a few hours in bed with daddy to help him recover Mr. Green
