As one or two members (including myself) have had trouble spotting new private messages arriving, and as some skins don't seem to have the calendar facility readily available, I've been looking for new templates, so you now have the option of a couple of different skins, which you can select in your profile
Previously the board was set to display in 'classic' skin, but for better visibility of new PMs arriving, I'd suggest maybe the 'igloo' skin may be better
let me know what you think, and I'll keep trawling through the templates to see if there is a better alternative for us
