It has come to light that there are a number of agencies and vets carrying out microchipping, but who regularly fail to send off the necessary paperwork to actually register the pet on the database

If your pet has been chipped, please ensure you have the letter from the chip company confirming your registation, or contact the chip company to ensure your details have been entered onto the database, otherwise your pet may not be returned to you if they are lost!

yep - real good point that - its a bit like insurance - people only check it when its too late
