Well I thought I would share with you my first experience of fostering, yesterday I said good bye to Bruno - my first foster dog. I have had him a month - you may remember him being the dog that his owner had to give up as he was in council accomodation and could no longer keep him.

I found the whole experience very rewarding, I did have to get the hankies out when he went yesterday. He is a fantastic dog and I know he will be happy and loved in his new home.


Then yesterday afternoon I was off back to the pound to pick up a sad chap who needed some TLC. Max - what a sweet heart, he has had a bath and must feel so much better. He is a bit lean but nothing that some food wont sort out. He is so very loving and has a waggy tail for everyone that he meets. He was over whelmed in the park this morning when we went for a little walk - so many doggies to play with and people to fuss Very Happy I hope we find him a lovely home very soon

You have done a marvellous job helping Bruno - you really have.

A positive attitude and so reliable - its a pleasure and a bonus to have you on board.

Bruno was never going to be a quick rehomer - I think we realised that when he had been left in the pound so long before - but if onlypeople could see through the 'large dog ' syndrome - and realise just what pleasures can be got from good old fashioned older cross breeds.

Good on you and well done.

You gonna give little Maxy boy his own page now, and can follow his progress as he goes for his operation tomorrow

Well I dropped him off at the vets this morning, he is so happy to see everyone and such a fuss pot !

I will let you all know how he gets on today

It's so sad to say goodbye when they've carved themselves a niche in your heart isn't it?

Knowing they're finally going to a loving home and that another dog can be helped into a new home with a little TLC from you does help though Smile
