I saw this gentleman on the Rain Rescue website,

This his is picture from the site.
I rang but was to late he had already got a home, and was going that day, I left my number with Jacquie and said to call me if his new place didn't work out.

I took the phone to bed that night, my partner said not to get my hopes up cos if he was gone he was not likely to be coming back, but I was so sure that he was meant to be with me, I don't know how or why I just knew somehow someway he was going to be living here.
Load and behold next morning came the call, he couldn't manage steps and the new people lived up stairs.
Mad panic phone call to get partner out of work, mad dash to Rotherham, anyway to cut along story short he was mine and come home.
That's is how I met Jacquie in October 2005 (my god is it only 2 years Jacquie it seems like a lifetime sometimes) Surprised
She knows I'm only joking.
My old guy is 13 now, but absolutely a match made in heaven and the love of my life, he made himself at home straight away and apart from the odd scrap with Ben no trouble. I also lay claim to having the oldest dog rescued by Rain at 11 years ?

It's funny isn't it - you see them and you know...

that's how Hunny came here as a foster - I knew she was our next foster as soon as I saw her pic. I offered Jaq that I'd have her for a week for training and socialisation (as she was such a nightmare there was a worry she'd never find a home!), but Jaq had a couple of people interested in her by the time I'd made sure I could make that offer to her..... oh well - maybe I'm wrong sometimes

her visit came and went, but she was so badly behaved that she wasn't offered a home, so that was that. I went up and met her, and gave her her first taste of sensible lead walking, then went back a few days later with Mr Strix to ensure we weren't going to have any issues between them, then she came home with us - and the rest is history Smile

Your Barney-Rubble looks like an absolute dear of a dog Love

Give him an ear skritch from all at the Strix household won't you? Smile

Barney Rubble is gorgeous, older dogs are just great arn't they? Smile
Another one here who fell in love with a photo, I saw Durham and I just knew he would be mine, he was kept by his fosterer for a further 6 months (she was going to keep him but it didn't work out).... all of that time and then by a fluke I saw his pic again and within a week he was mine, and we never looked back Smile
