I was just wondering does anyone need any donations, such as bedding sheets towels, feeding bowls that kind of thing?

where abouts are you Fert?

I think the council kennels at Sheffield are usually happy to have old bedding

or if you are handy with a sewing machine - Jaq posted a pattern for a dog coat

we're on a drive to equip the pounds with dog coats for the winter, as the kennels aren't heated, and even with bedding the dogs can still get cold - it's not as easy to get snuggled correctly under a blanket when you don't have thumbs!

great stuff! - unfortunately Jaq isn't available this week, and it's she who has all the contacts!

I'll see if I can find a number for the council kennels

I know alot of kennels don't like to use human bedding as it's difficult to clean, and can be shredded and cause choking Sad
(hence the suggestion for coats Wink )

well the numbers to ring for dog adoption (according to the website) are: 0114 203 7410/7411/7415, so I'm assuming one of those would be the best one to ring to see if they would like your donations Smile

will it be easy enough for you to get this stuff to Sheffield, or would you be needing help with transport?

Thanks for the offer of bedding Fert, and Strix is right
the sheffield council kennels are really desperate for some.

let me know where you can get it to.
sheffield usually have someone around about 2.30 each day - but always best to phone and let them know when its coming.

thanks - this horrible weather they will go through loads
