Hi all i dont post much here and its only 3 months since i lost my wife to leukemia so now theres only me and my daughter whos 11
We have toyed with haveing another dog since she died but the time wasnt really right and i truelly believe in fate when choosing a dog
Anyway i asked a familly friend to take us to the kennels at woodhouse mill as she was a friend of Dot the owner who had said they might have something suitable
Now ideally i wanted a spaniel but wasnt prepared to pay 500 for one ,i wanted if possible a rescue dog
She did have one in but she said it was a bit (sycho) at night
There was a cute labrador cross in but again it didnt feel right so she said well ill ring my sister at carlton forest kennels
Low and behold they had just recieved a springer in the day before not mistreated just not able to be looked after properly and only 10 mnths old Smile
She even took us there to look (Dot that is)and when we got there and she was brought out i just knew straight away she was the one
You can guess what happened next anyway shes now at home with her new bed toys food bowls and matts etc
The 1st night was not too stressfull when i finally manadged to board her off in the kitchen she barked for 10 mins then managed to settle down and i got a proper nights sleep
This morning when i got up she had had a wee but went straight out when the door was opened did another and her mess
So for a 1st night im very impressed with that
To say im made up with her is an understatement shes beautiful
Going to get her microchipped in 2 weeks then neutered when the time is right (can anyone give me more infor on that please)

Heres some pics hopefully

Steve and Danielle

OH and shes called Jasmin (JAZZ)

I'm reliably informed that there's another microchipping event soon:
    Monday 18 February 2008 i
    Microchipping Day
Adlington Road Community Centre, Adlington Road, Parson Cross, S5.
    10:30am to 4pm.

FREE microchipping for dogs and cats.
    (any donations welcome)

All dogs must be on a lead and all cats in a secure carrier

Well that looks like there are 3 happy smiling faces around then.

Nothing like a flying slobbery spaniel to cheer one up is there.

Fate usually plays a marvelous part in life - thank goodness for nicer things to compensate for all the c**p out there.

thanks for sharing it with us.

Dot is a lovely lady and is a true stalwart where dogs are concerned.

Its lovely to see your little girl with her new friend... just what she needs right now, dogs are great to talk to and cuddle when you need a friend.
